Elmo

Ahh yes.  It was only a matter of time until Elmo paid us a visit.

Elmo sings "If you're happy and you know it clap your hands!"

Ashley:  Elmo, your eyes are so white!
Adam:  Elmo, what big muscles you have!

A Taste of the Far East

This week we're learning about China and Japan.  Look closely at the book titles.

Yum Yum Dim Sum
My First Book of Sushi
Look Adam:  Japanese people eat salmon roe, just like Babushka and Dedushka!
Yuck.  Raw fish???
You're right.  Let's eat the books instead.

61*

Although today's post has nothing to do with Roger Maris's record-breaking year in 1961, this is the 61st post on our blog.  To celebrate this milestone these Yankee-Fans-in-Training played with a bat and ball.

Can't I play in the exersaucer instead?
Adam warms up.
The exercise guru grabbed the bat and held on tight.
"Coach told me to bunt."
Ashley checks to see if the bat is corked.

Diaper Duty

Was very hot yesterday, so we stripped 'em down to just diapers and shirts.

If I flap my arms hard enough I'll fly.
A lady is always properly covered.
Sitting without pants is fun.
Not as teeny tiny as they once were....

Fun on the Floor

Playing with stuffed animals is always a good time.

Mr. Moo is my friend.
Adam reads the tag: "Not suitable for children under the age of 3."
Don't listen to him Mr. Moo!  I still love you.
That's why I like the bunny better.  Safer.

Moo!  Bunny!

At the Zoo

Our cousins came for a brief visit this weekend.

Unseasonably warm weather lured us outdoors to the Stone Zoo.  Adam and Ashley aren't quite old enough to appreciate the exhibits, but their cousins did.

Not cool Daddy.  This hat is huge on me!

Do you see the flamingos in the background?

I can almost reach Brian's hair!
Farewell photo before our cousins hit the road.

Spring Sprung

What a beautiful weekend we've had!  Yesterday we met up with our friends Kristin, Alex and Kona for a stroll down Newbury Street and the Commonwealth Avenue Mall.

"Alex's neck looks tasty.  I should lick it."  Kona
Hang on to me Daddy!
"So a plumber, rabbi and a priest walk into this bar..." Adam
Adam and Ashley like spring.

Phone Home

MLM remembers how E.T. tried to phone home.  Since Adam and Ashley are already at home, she's not sure who they were trying to contact.  But she does understand why this toy was given to her from her cousins without batteries.  Wow is it loud!

Ashley and I are going to help Mr. LadyBug phone home.

The yellow toy improves reception.
Adam, I memorized his phone number.  I'll dial.
Phone menus for the LadyBug family?  I'll press "0" for the operator.
No one home.  We'll try again later.

Breaking Out

Since their last outdoor escapade, Adam had plenty of time to think about getting Ashley out of the play yard.  Here's what they devised:

Based on my last trip and numerous calculations, the bar is less than 1m up.  I'll reconfigure this toy to help you jump.
Look at me!  Don't look at Adam.  He's busy.
Forget the toy.  Just stand up like this and.....
Adam?  Are you on the other side?  Adam?  Adam?
MLM caught up with Adam before he got too far.  Stay tuned for more exciting A-team Adventures.

Medved Go For a Swim?

Dressed like little medved(s), Adam and Ashley plotted a way to escape the Graco confines this past Sunday.  Here's what Mystic Lake Mama overheard:

Look at the big lake Ashley!  Let's go swimming!
I'm not sure I like where this is going....
I've already got my swim cap on and we're dressed for cold water.
If I push this big button we'll be ejected from the play yard!
Wahoo!  Eject button worked!  I'm in Daddy's lap!  Now how do I spring Ashley?
Stay tuned to find out how Adam helps Ashley escape the Graco.

Month Seven

Today Adam and Ashley are 7 months old!  It's easier to photograph them because they do not fall over as quickly, but it's also harder because they grab at the stickers and at the bears.

Today's post is dedicated to the funny unposed photos from our shoot.  Our serious reporting coverage of the A-team will resume with the next post.

Are you feeling OK Ashley Bear?  You're laying down.
Let me take your pulse.
"Ashley, I've got bad news.  Stickers are not edible." Adam
Oops!  I crunched up the sticker.  I can't wear it again.
Have you tried unfolding it?
Wasn't me.  I didn't knock him over.
There has to be a way to flatten this out.
See the sticker?  I fixed it all by myself!
And finally, Adam took Ashley's sticker.  Rather than give it back, he tried to eat it.

He wasn't too pleased with the results.
