It's unfair when you think about it. Babies have no say in the matter.
We shape their wet hair into mohawks, take photos and then giggle to ourselves. We've done it to Adam more than once because he has a lot of hair. Tate has had the special treatment on occasion. Even Ashley has had the 'do too.
It was finally Noah's turn. If you ask me, he looks more stunned than anything else:

Tate's Tub
Tate loves a nice warm bath just before lunch. He's all dreamy while he eats and then takes a nice long nap. Here he is sporting a wild 'do:

Post-bath hair
It's rare to catch Adam hamming it up for the camera. Karla coaxed out the best in him for this series.

Cat in the Hat Bathtime
The sun did not shine.
It was too wet to play.
So we sat in the house
All that cold, cold, wet day.
I sat there with Ashley
We sat there we two
And I said,
"How I wish we had something to do."
To wet to go out
And too cold to play ball
So we sat in the house
And we did nothing at all.
And then...
Something went splash!
How that splash made us giggle!
Mommy threw us into the bathtub.
In our wet clothing we wiggled!
(Yes, this is what happens to a blogging Mommy who is stuck inside with two toddlers on a wet, cold day. She dreams up photo ops based on the books they are reading. For those who haven't read it in a while, this poem is based on the famous Cat In the Hat by Dr. Seuss)
Who knows which toddler story will appear next in our blog?

Splish splash
Splish splash the citizens were takin' a bath
Long about a Saturday night, yeah
A rub a dub, just relaxin' in the tub
Thinkin' everythin' was alright
Long about a Saturday night, yeah
A rub a dub, just relaxin' in the tub
Thinkin' everythin' was alright
Well, they crawled out the tub
And put their feet in the air
Daddy wrapped the towel around them
And put their feet in the air
Daddy wrapped the towel around them
And then Mommy combed their hair.
Reelin' with the feelin'
Movin' and a-groovin'
Rockin' and a-rollin', yeah, yeah

Bath Time for Sophie
![]() |
| Adam and I are going to give Sophie a bath in this tub. |
![]() |
| First take out all of the toys. |
Let's use this to rinse her off. ![]() |
| Hmm... flimsy side wall construction. We'll fix that. |
![]() |
| Ashley, help me find something to strengthen the tub walls. |
![]() |
| What about these? |
![]() |
| Yup. They're strong enough. |
