Want to make my kids happy?  Tell them they're going to Sturbridge Village.

Want to see my kids get excited?  Tell them they're going to Sturbridge and staying overnight at a hotel with a pool.

Want to see my kids swoon and get dizzy with joy?  Tell them they're going to Sturbridge, playing in the pool and that there's a vintage car day with only pre-1945 cars.

I doubt that even in their wildest of wild dreams, would Simon and Garfunkel have imagined that a child in 2017 would be singing their songs in the backseat of a minivan.  And yet here we are as a family, singing Homeward Bound:

Recovered

After Tate recovered from his SWAT encounter, he found the inner strength to explore the family sedan.  Well, maybe outer strength too.  He walked up to the car and pounded on the door until I opened it for him.  Determined little guy, this one.

Factory Five Guy

While Daddy, Adam and Ashley were off checking out the other cars at the Factory Five Open House, Tate and I kept ourselves entertained.  Judging by his smile, I did a pretty decent job.

BDPS: Car Wash

This is a brilliant programming idea.  Not only do the kids have fun, but the playground toys which sit outside get a hose down.  Those BDPS teachers are ingenious!

Topsfield Is Tops, Part #2

Entertainment!  That's why Adam and Ashley wanted to go to the fair.  They were even more excited to learn that our neighbor was able to join us for the morning:

Driving

Adam really wants to drive.  Really.  He asks us at least 2-3 times a day if he can "dwive Daddy's new dahk gway Soo-BAH-woo".  This kid is turning into a car fanatic.  Ashley's content to ride shotgun.  In this clip he's settled for a spin in the slightly less sporty minivan.
