Catching Up (Again)

It's a cold gray day, perfect for sitting in front of ye olde computer and catching up with photos, videos, and the blog.  There's an entire year of memories to post, so let's get crackin'.

First up, February!

Final Year at Pre-K

Mr. T has entered his final year of Pre-K.  They've transformed the program to incorporate more outdoor activities and fresh air.  Tate has loved it!

Graduation

Adam and Ashley had a small graduation ceremony (of sorts) a few months ago.  Everyone got dressed up for the Zoom occasion.  Tate provided security services to keep the paparazzi at bay.

Once it was clear that the paparazzi were nowhere to be found, he decided to chill with his newfound favorite friends, Tom and Jerry.

Homeschooling Lesson #39: Physical Education

At the start of the mandatory stay at home order our family had a schedule in place by school day #2, also known as "the first Monday that we were all home together".

After breakfast we decided it was best to get the kids up and moving with a rousing dance party.

Judging by the lack of success, it seems that not all were in agreement with this plan.

Goodbye Lab

After half a decade of working at an academic institution, it was time for a change of pace.  While I will miss my colleagues and the great work we accomplished together, I will also miss having an office.

I will especially miss what Ashley and Adam put on my whiteboard during their last visit to my office, many many months ago.

Ashley picked up the marker and wrote the sentence.  Then Adam took the marker and sketched one of his trademark cars, using the exhaust to craft a speech balloon.

I never erased it.

Not even before I handed over my keys and walked out the door.

It was their love letter to me and it gave me the strength to smile on many days.

I love you too, my cuties!

To the Moon!

To the Moon!

Kids today are being prepped at a young age for life in space.  After all, this generation might even make it to Mars.

Well, that's if we're allowed to end the coronavirus quarantine and leave our homes.  But hey!  We can all dream, right?

Here are photos of Tate and his classmates preparing for the future:
