Rose Colored Glasses
Some people see the world through rose colored glasses. Not Ashley and Adam. They see it through an orange plastic bowl. This was a source of great amusement for at least 10 minutes. Who'da thunk that?

Troublesome Toddler Treats
New parents have a lot to learn.
Want an example?
Giving twin toddlers quinoa in bowls with spoons isn't a brilliant idea, unless your idea of fun is spending the next two days picking quinoa out of every crevice in the room.

Wasn't us. It was the quinoa elves. Pesky fellows. |
What, me worry? I like to push a broom. |
Ooh. How did it get in there? |

Museum of Science
It was time to enrich the citizens' curriculum with science. We packed up and went to the Boston Museum of Science for the morning. Thanks to Daddy's big phone, we had a camera. Unfortunately, most of the exhibits we saw were too dark to take any good photos. Hope you enjoy this one.

Minutemen
The weather this weekend wasn't great, but it was certainly better than it had been for the past two weekends so we bundled up the A-team and headed out to a Lexington portion of the Minuteman Trail. Luckily for us it was cold enough to keep most bicyclists home, allowing A+A to walk on the path without danger.
Cutest thing about this walk? Seeing Daddy and Adam in coordinating jackets!

The Lighter Side of Norway
For the final Norwegian post, we bring you some of the laughter we shared when we visited Mt. Floyen in Bergen:

Our Night In Bergen
You didn't think I'd forget about sharing our stop in Bergen, did you? Not a chance! After the boat docked, we took a bus to Bergen and stayed at a local hotel. Below are some of the photos we snapped in the afternoon. All in all, it was a wonderful trip and we were very happy that we decided to go. Even if the aurora didn't show!

Adam's Walk
Every now and then, Adam appears to be in a pensive yet jovial mood. When the moment strikes, he laces his fingers together in the small of his back and struts around. It is so funny to watch! Prior to this clip, Adam was doing the walk but stopped as I ran to get a camera. To help get him back in the mood, Daddy imitated Adam... and Adam played along. What a hoot!

CS-50 Prep
Last weekend, Daddy pulled out a keyboard for Adam and Ashley. He's prepping them for CS50, an intro class at Harvard, even though prior programming experience is not needed.
You can take CS50 too! Harvard is offering it on-line, for free, through the edX HarvardX Consortium.
I've listed a description of the class just in case it's ancient technology by the time Adam and Ashley are old enough to read this blog. Ha!

CS50x is Harvard College's introduction to the intellectual enterprises of computer science and the art of programming for majors and non-majors alike, with or without prior programming experience. An entry-level course taught by David J. Malan, CS50x teaches students how to think algorithmically and solve problems efficiently. Topics include abstraction, algorithms, data structures, encapsulation, resource management, security, software engineering, and web development. Languages include C, PHP, and JavaScript plus SQL, CSS, and HTML. Problem sets inspired by real-world domains of biology, cryptography, finance, forensics and gaming. As of Fall 2012, the on-campus version of CS50x is Harvard's largest course.
Students who earn a passing grade on 8 problem sets (programming assignments -- 15-20 hours each), 2 quizzes, and a final project will get an honor code certificate from HarvardX. Students may take CS50x at their own pace, starting anytime after October 15, 2012 and finishing anytime before April 15, 2013.
