The fall preschool class harvested the vegetables carefully planted by the spring class. Luckily for Adam and Ashley, they are part of the fall class and got to reap the benefits!
Around mid-August I took the kids to see Karen K and the Jitterbugs at the Lowell Music Festival. Below is a clip of them dancing before the concert started. If you asked Adam and Ashley to share their favorite part of the day, it would undoubtedly be the trolley ride after the show ended.
As you all may have noticed, there haven't been any posts for a while. My trusty ol' laptop croaked on me. Big headache. So there weren't any posts for a while until I was up and running with a new laptop. I'm baaaack! And so are the citizens. As promised, there were going to be three birthday posts. Yes, it's been over a month since they turned three, but since Adam and Ashley are not yet 4, I figure it's OK to post.
In yet another blatant attempt to give these kids a dose of local culture, we ventured into a newly remodeled Friendly's to have some ice cream. I can faithfully report that the decor was fresher and that the service was just as slow as I remember. Oh well. Adam and Ashley ate the ice cream so quickly that I didn't have a chance to sample any!
This has now become a concern of mine. Why? The kids were given a marble maze as a birthday gift. It's wonderful! The kids love it! But now I have to make sure we don't lose our marbles. Can you imagine all of the crying? Ha!
Adam loves Daddy's "Soo-bah-woo" even more than "Lightnin' Mah-Dween" (Lightning McQueen). Imagine Adam's delight when Daddy gave him a Subaru magazine! Instant success!
Adam and Ashley received many wonderful gifts for their birthday. We're opening them one at a time; Radiator Springs was first on their list. It was an instant hit!
Sigh. Seems like only yesterday I started calling them "toddlers". Now we're (almost) pre-schoolers. Old enough to use scooters and Big Wheels. Where has the time gone?
