Thelma and Louise

For Tate's birthday I got to spend a little bit of time with him and his friends at Drumlin.  The highlight of the hour?  Hanging out with Thelma and Louise, the new cluckin' duo housed outside of the farm house.  Here's Tate showing off his barnyard skills:

Homeschooling, Lesson #34: Home Improvement

Being able to do your own home improvement chores around the house is very satisfying.  Just ask MLD.  He gets to do them almost every weekend!

This time around he had some help from Mr. T and the A-team.  First things first:  learning how to climb a ladder responsibly.  Not that these photos look anything like that lesson, of course.

Crazy Carvers

This was a big year in our home: instead of painting the pumpkins with washable paint (which allows for endless fun after a good rain), we decided to carve our pumpkins.  All of the kids loved this, including the little guy!

Forgive the number of photos in today's post.  I always try to edit them carefully... but the colors were so bright and the kids so intent that I just couldn't help myself.  Enjoy!

Toad Hall Classic Car Museum

Roomies

Their room was feeling a bit snug, so we decided to spring for a bunk bed.  They love it!

Autumn at McCue's

MLM had some time to kill, so she and Tate went in search of a corn maze at McCue's.  We were a few days too early, so we spent some time looking at the pumpkins.  Imagine how thrilled Tate was to find out that they give popcorn to anyone who asks!  He found the perfect place to sit and munch.  Even if he didn't smile for the camera, it's clear he's having a great time.

Complete Fabrication

Took the kids to a fabric store recently -- long story.  As you may have noticed, Tate likes to touch soft things.  Being in a fabric store was sensory overload for him.  He didn't want to put down the yarn:

Town Day 2018

The boys love going to Town Day.  There is food to eat, trucks to explore and fun to be found.  Here's a sampling of this year's excitement:
