Last campfire of 2020

No one was particularly sad to see 2020 come to an end.  Despite all of the changes it forced into our lives, there were some positive moments: no running around like crazy, no commuting, more time with family for the important stuff on the weekends.  We were lucky to have experienced the pandemic in that light.

Birthday memories

Today we're going to look back at last fall and remember a few bday celebrations.  We had so much fun!  Gifts were opened over several days, and there was much cake to be enjoyed.

There was also the fun of assembling an on-line birthday for his friends:

His brother created a card for him:

And he also celebrated in school:

All glorious ways to celebrate half a decade!

A few weeks later Mommy was given a pre-birthday gift: an ambulance ride to the hospital (everyone was OK)

We even scored a few rolls of free gauze so Mr T could look super-scary for Halloween.

My special bday meal was whipped up compliments of our Italian au pair from her mother's and Nonna's recipes:  eggplant parm and tiramisu.  Heavenly!

Sweeping Intro

 Hello loyal fans,

It's been far too long since I've had a chance to post.  Work, COVID-19, blah, blah, excuse, blah, whatever.  Here I am and I'll try to make up for some lost time.

This is one particular clip from fall 2020 that reminded me of my young days helping out at The Store.  Those who know my family know what I mean by The Store.  From a very early age we were handed a broom.  While I'm not sure that we were terribly helpful, eventually we caught on and were of some use.  Either way, it was a "Sweeping Intro" both to work and to life, much like this clip.

Hold on to yer hats, folks.  This is going to be a fast and wild ride!
